The intern will gain practical experience in a variety of areas. Under the supervision of the Councils Senior Planner skills will be gained in AA screening of planning applications, assisting in preparation of Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), assisting in preparation of Development Plans and Local Area Plans, communication skills in dealing with Council Departments, members of the public and elected representatives.The intern will gain experience providing input into the preparation of Wexford Co. Council s biodiversity plan, augmentation of the Councils biodiversity database, species and habitat survey work in relation to planning applications, plans and biodiversity database.
Good communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Computer/presentational skills. A strong desire to learn new skills and tackle a variety of tasks.
This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.
