Capacity Ireland offers a range of 3-month PAID work experience placements within the community development and biological/ecological sectors. We are now recruiting for Community Development positions in Seville, Spain starting in January 2018.
Community Development Placements are available in a range of companies/ NGOs in the areas of international development, biological/ecological research, local development and environmental education.
Preparatory training is provided pre-departure incorporating language tuition and practical and cultural information. Participants receive a subsistence allowance of €100/week and the cost of flights, insurance and accommodation are funded directly by Capacity Ireland.
The work placements will enable participants to develop experience and practical skills in conservation, ecology and community development, as well as offering weekly (free!) Spanish tuition.
As part of your placement you will also complete a Level 3 Award in European Community Development accredited by the Learning Resource Network.
Positions are suitable for people who are looking to enhance their skills, experience and future employability within these sectors. A good level of social awareness and a keen interest in community development work is required.
For most positions no previous knowledge of Spanish is required but some do require intermediate Spanish
